I am a pharmacist, a formulator of nutrition products, an endurance fueling coach, and most important, an age-group triathlete. Although I rarely get on the podium, my motto is: If you can't be King, be a King Maker, and the list of athletes that I've put on the podium confirms that I've made a lot of Kings/Queens over the years. Helping others achieve their goals has always been a passion, whether its helping an athlete develop a fueling strategy for an up coming race, or formulating a nutrition product to overcome a specific sports issue.
Having been caught up in the running "fad" of the 70's, after several marathons, I found that my body could no longer handle exclusive running, so I needed another way to stay active. I did my first triathlon in 1999 and have been hooked ever since. I have never been blessed with speed, so Sprints were brutal. I found that my "speed" best matches Olympics and Halfs, so that's where I spend my training and racing. I have considered a Full Iron Man, but, for now, that remains on my bucket list. I'm excited to be a TriDot Ambassador and look forward to promoting a training system that has given me steady and consistent improvement while allowing me to stay injury free.
