I started my triathlon journey in June of 2017. I was a swimmer for twenty years and retired after college. I picked up running and got the bug to compete and thought triathlon would mix up my life from running every day (- what was I thinking?!). I competed in one Olympic and one sprint and won an entry into Ironman Florida which I completed with 8 weeks of training. I was accepted into the TriDot preseason project a few weeks later and joined as a option to learn some workout strategies and take the guesswork out of my daily training. I raced my first half in St George and followed up with a PR at a very hot Boulder finish in June. In July, I completed the upper route of Alaskaman, coming out of the water third overall and finishing tenth overall female. Arizona 70.3 and Patagonman are scheduled to conclude my year. I can't wait to see what I can do with TriDot!
