A swimmer in college, I started getting into triathlon in my late 20s as I had just finished my schooling and was overweight and stressed out. I hated running and it took me 1 month to be able to run 1 mile without stopping. A short 5 years later I finished an Ironman in under 12 hours! Now 10 years since my first race, triathlon gives me a balance in my life between and work and play, keeps my mind clear, and my body healthy.
