About Me
Triathlon and Ultrarunning coach.Gregg has been involved in triathlon for around 20 years since becoming a junior member at the local tri club. Rugby had always been his main sport through school and university until he was forced to stop playing due to injury. It was then that he switched away from contact sport and into triathlon and then ultrarunning as his main hobby, and has been hooked on endurance events ever since.Coming from a rugby background his weight was not particularly conducive to endurance training. Having lost over 7 stone to date through major lifestyle changes he is now fitter than ever.Gregg has since completed 5x IRONMAN and multiple 70.3’s and more recently 6th overall at Ultra X Scotland 125km ultramarathon and 15th at The Wall (70mi). He has also completed some non-race endurance events, having cycled Land's End to John O'Groats and the North Coast 500.Using his personal experience he is here to help you change your life through sport. You too can cross that 'magic carpet' and become an IRONMAN.TrainingPeaks Level 1 CoachUESCA Ultrarunning CoachIRONMAN CoachBTF Level 1 Coach
Coaching Philosophy
Training for IRONMAN is a massive commitment but it shouldn’t take over your life. I wouldn’t want any of my athlete’s to feel like they are burdened by the training, it should be fun and exciting, and they should look forward to each session. At You Can Sport we use TrainingPeaks to provide personalised training plans that fit in around your life, not rearrange your life around training. We have a range of training packages depending on the level of detail and coach contact time you require.
